MG M9 Electric MPV Set To Redefine Luxury Mobility Tomorrow in India

MG is all set to make a bold entry into the electric luxury MPV segment with the highly anticipated launch of the MG M9 Electric tomorrow in India. This premium all-electric six-seater promises to deliver a unique blend of performance, space, technology, and sophistication. Bookings are already open both online and at dealerships with a reservation amount of Rs. 51,000. This signals strong interest from buyers eager to experience MG’s latest innovation.

First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year, the MG M9 has been crafted with a heavy focus on passenger comfort, particularly in the rear. The second row has been stretched to offer easier access and more generous legroom. The MPV comes loaded with luxury features including a panoramic sunroof, 64-shade ambient lighting, automatic climate control, and a 12-speaker premium audio system to create a lounge-like experience on wheels.

The interior luxury continues with 16-way adjustable seats that are equipped with integrated heating, ventilation, and eight massage modes. Buyers will also have the choice between two premium upholstery options: pure black and cognac brown, both exuding a sophisticated vibe. Measuring 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,840 mm in height, the M9 stands out as one of the longest MPVs in the Indian market. Its 3,200 mm wheelbase further ensures excellent cabin space and ride comfort.

Under the hood, or rather under the floor, sits a powerful 90 kWh battery pack. This electric MPV produces 245 bhp and 350 Nm of torque, delivering a smooth, silent, and emission-free ride. With these numbers, it is expected to set a new standard in performance for electric family vehicles. Although the pricing is yet to be officially announced, estimates suggest it will exceed Rs. 90 lakh, ex-showroom. Despite this premium pricing, the MG M9 occupies a unique niche with no direct electric rival, competing instead with high-end models like the Toyota Vellfire and the new-gen Kia Carnival.

Safety and convenience are central to the M9’s offering. It comes equipped with powered sliding rear doors, seven airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, Auto Hold function, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera. The inclusion of an ADAS suite ensures advanced driver assistance for added peace of mind.

The MG M9 will be available in three elegant exterior shades—Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey. Each finish adds a distinct personality to the MPV’s bold and futuristic design. As MG prepares to launch the M9 Electric, the Indian automotive landscape is ready to welcome a new benchmark in electric luxury mobility.
