Volvo EX30:The Cross Country treatment is applied to Volvo’s entry-level EX30 electric SUV, which features off-roader-inspired bodywork and a tuned suspension.
The EX30 Cross Country, an off-road-focused variant of the base EX30 electric SUV, was unveiled by Volvo. In addition, it is the first SUV and EV to use Volvo’s Cross Country name, which was previously only applied to the Swedish automaker’s hatchbacks, sedans, and estates.

Volvo EX30 Cross Country design
Naturally, the EX30 Cross Country’s blacked-out fascia, 19mm more ground clearance, roof rack, and black fenders give it a more rugged appearance than the standard crossover. Chunky skidplates are also added to the front and rear bumpers. Standard on the EX30 Cross Country are 18-inch alloy wheels with 720mm all-terrain tires.
Customers can also choose 19-inch alloy wheels, but they are only compatible with road tires. Mudflaps, a stowable towbar, a roof-mounted tent, and a kayak holder are additional options. With features like a 12.3-inch Google-based touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a soundbar that spans the width of the dashboard, and more, the EX30 Cross Country’s interior is identical to that of the standard SUV.
Volvo EX30 Cross Country powertrain, suspension
Volvo will only offer the EX30 Cross Country with two motors and all-wheel drive; a single-motor version may eventually be added to the lineup. The EX30 Cross Country’s dual motors produce 422 horsepower and 543 Nm, and it is equipped with the same 69kWh battery as the top-tier model of the standard SUV. According to Volvo, this configuration has a range of up to 427 km (WLTP).
According to Volvo, the EX30 Cross Country has a softer five-link rear suspension than the standard SUV because of its increased off-road focus. This helps it handle muddy roads, rougher terrain, “ankle-deep” snow, and highways. The EX30 Cross Country, according to the manufacturer, is designed for “weekend explorers” to “access nature on nature’s terms rather than conquer it” and is not a serious off-road vehicle.
Details of the Volvo EX30 Cross Country India launch
The EX30 Cross Country’s prices have not yet been revealed, and there is currently no confirmation that it will launch in India. It remains to be seen if the EX30 Cross Country will also arrive in India, as Volvo plans to introduce the standard EX30 and the larger EX90 there this year.
